Escaping the East Coast

A beautiful drive today. I drove from the East end of I64 in Virginia to just shy of Louisville KY. I say the bay in Hampton, drove through a tunnel there, the mountains in Virginia and West Virginia and the blue grass in Kentucky. I saw caravans of hundreds motorcycle riders headed to DC for the Memorial Day event. I saw a turned over military vehicle on the east bound side.

A few pictures I took along the way today;

Freight is good for my company. I got empty in Colonial Heights VA and immediately got sent to Suffolk VA for a load going to Pontoon Beach Ill. I drove 658 mi. today and have another 288 or so to get to Pontoon Beach.

I parked in Simpsonville KY and before I could go in to get a shower I got preplanned for the next two loads. I now have to get this load off in time to pick up some more precious golden nectar before 1PM going to Rome GA. delivering Monday. I know it's a holiday, I hope they are open. Then I go to East Point and get a load to Eden NC for Tuesday. I'm supposed to start home time Wednesday night so I guess it will be a hustle to get something there going back to Atlanta.
